Liesel, Emma and Marlon,
My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to you all. My heart was saddened today when I came across this announcement.

David was one of my best friends in high school at Mapleton and Westminster High. David, Ed Dye and myself were inseparable for most of those years. Unfortunately, after high school, we lost touch and had to start living our lives as grownups. Although I must say that David seems to have managed to hang on to a bit of the magic of youth he possessed. I remember him smiling away and singing in his band on a Saturday night or going to a laser show set to Pink Floyd or Led Zepplin. I remember how tough he was when he broke his leg on my 3 wheeler. Mostly I remember having so much fun with him and how crazy we could be together which was mostly spent ditching class to run up to the mountains and be outside. It brings a smile to my face when I think of him continuing on with that love of the outdoors throughout his life and sharing it with you.

Again, my heartfelt sympathies for your loss and I will always remember David as a great friend.

Liesel, my heart is crushed as I just saw this today on the computer. I am so sorry that your sweetheart has climbed the highest mountain ever. Words can not describe grief, and you kids were a dream couple as you cherished each other so much. The two of you have been in my heart still throughout the years of time as things change for some of us, but I always remember your sweetness and David's unending heart felt genuine compassion for people. As I sent him that song by Jody Mc Brayer http://youtu.be/f-R1ZlnzeW8 because he sounds so much like David's voice, I had no idea what was ahead of him, but God did. Look to HIM for your comfort sweetie. Sharon Laurienti
