Layne was an easy-going, funny guy who had a good heart. I remember when he started playing golf in the early 90's, he was just happy to be out there on the course playing a tough game and not taking it hard like the rest of us if he didn't hit a perfect shot. He was fun to watch a football game with. He had a strong work ethic at no matter what his job was at the time. He was very loyal to his family, and I know they will miss him dearly.
Layne always arrived at La Prensa de Colorado Spanish Newspaper with a smile, and left with a full cup of coffee. We will greatly miss Layne. We will see him again.

Layne was always there to make you smile no matter what the situation was. He never failed to make my day brighter when we worked together at the Times Call. A bright and shining Angel has entered Heaven. He will be missed but never forgotten.
My husband, 16-year-old daughter, and I worked with Layne distributing the Hometown News. When I picture him, it's always with a big smile and laugh! He was a great guy to work for, and we will miss him. We are so, so sorry for your loss.
My deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to you all!
you will be greatly missed Layne. From all of your co-workers at the Lehman Printing Center!
