Linda and Family, condolences on the passing of Mary Ellen from your lives. After the Hood family moved in next door to the Curran family on University Circle in Longmont, I remember her twinkling laughter and kindness. Take care.

So many good & happy memories of Mary Ellen! teaching Linda and I to make sugar eggs, roses, and leaves at Easter, helping make wedding mints in their kitchen (she used to make wedding cakes and those little flat mints in the bride's colors), camping trips and evening drives up the canyon for little cook-outs, her rose garden on University Circle, Velveeta cheese (which she always used and we NEVER used, so naturally I loved it), tins & tins full of Christmas candy & cookies stashed in their front coat closet, taking Linda & I to see Romeo & Juliet at the movies, how much she loved John Denver's Annie's Song, her mouse figurine collection, Lake Powell, how her eyes would crinkle up when she laughed but you could still see the sparkle, her snow-white/silver cap of hair. A few sad memories of the physical pain she endured. Reverent & grateful memories of how she kept the faith, always prayed for everyone who crossed her path and never lost trust in God and HIS timing, though it seemed harsh. And now SO HAPPY that's she's shed of earthly chains and restored to Jesus's side in heaven! My thoughts & prayers are with Linda and all the family & friends still here on earth. God bless you!
