To Art's family, it is with a heavy heart that just last night I found out this sad news from another school district employee. I don't know how I could've missed this--would like to have paid my respects in person. I have been praying for all of you and can't even imagine what you've been going through. He was just the best! He always had something to say, along with that beautiful smile, to make my morning at school better. He loved to share his vacation stories with me. He even introduced me to his travel agent who I used often. Even though I'm retired, it's hard to think that I won't run into Art somewhere again. A good man is now among the best of God's family. I hope you can find peace in all the happy memories that will always bond you with Art. God Bless You. Darleen (Dee) Wilkinson

I think we all feel that this is a Guest Book entry that we never wanted to make. There are no "right words" when saying good-bye to a friend because there are so many. I can honestly say I cannot remember EVER seeing Art angry...and that's throughout a lot of years at the Erie City School District, the Greengarden Tavern, the Sports Page, or whatever place we all chose for a little bit of cheer.
My sincere sympathies to Art's family and to all who called him a friend. He is, and always will be, considered one of those guys that had social affection for anyone he met. His smile. His kind eyes. His hugs. I haven't seen him in about a year or so, but I will ALWAYS remember him as being one who also called me a friend.
I hope your path to Heaven has Fair Winds and Following Seas...
(I'll bet Tim wasn't too happy to see you, but then again...I'll bet he was the first to give you a hug.)
Love always...until we meet again. Save me a spot, will ya? I hope Heaven allows for double-parking... :)

To all of Art's Family
I remember Art as "Robbie's" big brother in High School. We were all kids growing up in the same neighhood. I hope your family is comforted by knowing that although many years have passed since Strong Vincent days, there are many who remember him and will keep him and your family in our prayers.

Debbie, Rob, Jaimi, Pat and Family,
My prayers and thoughts go out to you on your lost. Art was like a brother to me, at work and my usual visits to the Green Garden Tavern. He had a Heart of Gold and concern for his family and friends. I'll never forget his wit and antics, the Cleveland Indians and Browns road trips. All the Garden Parties..........Esp my season ticket seat next to him every Sunday for our Browns games, next season that seat will not to open for I will be in for him. I love you Art I'll Miss You but I know you'll always be looking out for us all...........
Love,
