My deepest sympathy to the Holter family. I have known both B and John for so long as part of my church family. I will never not picture them in the church choir. they were such a handsome couple and so full of life and kindness. I was thrilled to get to know them better at Springhill where my Mother was. Fondly, Lynette Hughes.

Ellie, it was good to meet you and your mother at the Warner some time ago. Although she was frail, she still had that "get up and go." I know my wife, Louise, enjoyed working with her at the Erie Day School and my kids appreciated her as a teacher. Her enthusiasm was catching. Ninety is a ripe old age, as they say, but it still is very hard to lose a parent and to say good-bye. Your mother and your dad were a great pair to contribute to our world and I am sure to your life. God grant you strength and peace. Jim Schmittle

Mrs. Holter was my 4th grade teacher at St Peter's. She was the reason I became a teacher. She simply was awesome! So sorry for your loss.

Dear Ellie,Mark,Abby and Jenna,
I was so very sorry to learn of Bea's death. She was an amazing woman!!! Her beauty, joy for life and love for her family were evident in all of my encounters with her. She will be missed but left behind an incredible legacy in all of you.

Bea Holter was a wonderful teacher in every sense. She saw the world as full of wonder. She regarded each room full of children as full of wonder. She saw each individual child as an individual wonder. I loved her (we all did), and I will miss her greatly!
