To Nan, the Fabians and the Nestors,
My wife Carol and I were really taken back by Don's Passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys.
We moved next to you 24 years ago and we couldn't have asked for better neighbors and friends. You both were more like family.
Don was one of a kind and was always there for me when I needed help with something. I had great times visiting with him each week to talk about whatever we could think of was going on. we used to burn leaves from early Saturday mornings until the sun went down.
We will truly miss him and there is a special place in our hearts for Donnie.
Love, Carol and Bob Ferragine
Dear Fabian family: A friend of ours, Georgianna Harrington, sent us Don's obituary and we were so sorry to hear of his passing. We hope you will find some comfort in your many wonderful memories and knowing he lived an amazing fulfilled life. He was a good man, who was there to help when help was needed. Hopefully, there's a Don Fabian in your lives now. Let them be there for you. With our deepest sympathy,
I'm so sorry to learn about Donnie. He was a wonderful man and I am blessed to have gotten to know him. I know my mother spoke very fondly of him and their earlier years together.
My sincere sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear loved one. May you find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2. Again my deepest sympathy.
I have known Mr. Fabian most of my life and have to say he was one of the greatest. They don't make them like he was any more. If you played sports in Millcreek in the 1960's and 1970's you knew the Fabians. I also worked for Mr. Fabian during my college days at Christmas time. I got to know him well. I will always remember his wisdom and calm. Every time I saw him through the years I would make a bee line to him to chat. Doug I am truly sorry for the loss of your great father.
Mrs. Fabian and all wonderful family members,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I have known the Fabian family since 1961, and enjoyed every minute of it. Mr. Fabian was always a true gentleman and pure pleasure to be around. He will be sorely missed, yet his legacy will live on in the lives of his super family. Much love to all!
I worked with Don at MTSD - EVERYONE LOVED HIM!!! Truly a very special man with such a wonderful, fun-loving disposition and so thoughtful and caring. Julie (Scalise) Pellegrino
Doug and family:
My sympathy for your loss. I have fond memories of "Rookie" from our whiffle ball home run derby games, the occasional tennis match, and Rapid Transit. One of the best.....
The Norm Williams Family thought the world of Don and his family. He will be missed by all.
I met Don 30+ years ago, we both worked in maintenance at Millcreek School Dist. We developed a close friendship that has lasted through the years. Whenever I would visit I would be greeted with open arms and the largest smile. Don had a unique humor ,I'm sure everyone that knew him would agree. Above all ,he was always a faithful friend to me through good times and bad,and I often thought of him as an angel of some sort. He never missed sending me a birthday card for all these years, I really appreciated that. The best time we had was when I gave him a special birthday gift of a flight- where ever he chose. We of course flew over Cleveland stadium, and I think that was a highlight of both of our lives. It was so fun to see him so happy. I have nothing but great memories of Don, and will miss him always... P.S. Nan ,I love you too. Karen
Your west coast family is all mourning the passing of their beloved Uncle Don. He was a humble servant and wonderful role model for us and all who knew him; and we were blessed to call him "uncle."
Love and prayers to you, Aunt Nanny, and all the Fabians.
Paul, Judy, and all the Neeve family
"Well done, good and faithful servant....enter thou into the joy of the Lord." Matthew 25:21
To all the Fabians: I loved to speak with Don at high school parties at his house. I loved his support when we spent time together at Hamot over 45 years ago. I loved him when he spent time with my children picking his blueberries. I loved all the lake erie perch sandwiches we shared. I loved texting with him right up to a while ago. An inspiration and hero to me. I hope I can take what he left me and "do right by him." Make 'em smile up there Don! Tommy
Thanks for all the life lessons along the way. You will be missed by family and friends. I will miss you every day and especially at critical times during games being watched or when a 5 foot putt needs to be made for par. Love Forever Your Loving Son Doug
