I really enjoyed Dr Barral's class in Contemporary Philosophy at Seton Hall. I had taken a class with her in 1977.Im so sorry for her passing. She was a great professor of Philosophy! I will remember her always!
When I attended Seton Hall University, I was was the first student assistant. I typed her lectures and parts of her book. she was creative and dynamic woman who believed in Love. She created and developed the philosophy course dealing with the Philosphy of Love. She introduced me to Merleau-Ponty, Ortega y Gasset as well as classical philosphers.I had learned so much about how she thought. My mother and she got a long so well two Italian gentle women. My mom mad a cocktail dress for her. She ate many a dinners with us. I loved her.
I will miss her. Seton Hall University will miss her.
