Pete is remembered as a gentle soul at Matson. We often went out to lunch for Italian. Aloha Pete

Dear Bianchi family, I lost contact with Pete after he helped me relocate to CA in Jan 1985. Prior to that we worked at Hughes Helicopters in AZ. Pete was like a brother to me. Many times we would go to church together. Pete had a lot of class. He was kind and generous. He always sent my mom Christmas cards asking Mom about me and my family. I know he had a solid heart and soul...must be with the Good Lord. David Lopez

I am so saddened to hear of Pete's passing which I just read in the Matson Newsletter. I worked for years with Pete and he was the nicest and most caring person. Always put a smile on my face. He will be so missed.

I learned the news of Pete's passing from a friend at Matson. It was such a tight-knit family back then and many of us have stayed in touch over the years. I met Pete when he visited the office in Phoenix during our early days. I always found him to be kind and funny. It was nice to re-connect with him on Facebook in recent years. He will truly be missed.

I am deeply saddened and heart-broken to hear of Pete's passing. He was truly a long-time friend; I place very few in that category. He affected my life and made me a better person by knowing him. He had a huge heart and was very kind and caring. I met Pete in 1986 at Matson when I hired him as a telephone technician. We worked together for more than 17 years. We traveled together on many projects visiting just about all of the Matson offices in the country. Lots of fond memories. We thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. Pete was a dedicated, loyal employee as well as life-long friend. After I left Matson in 2004, we continued to stay in touch. Pete always sent out holiday cards, Xmas, New Year's, Valentines, Birthday, Saint Patrick's, Halloween, usually with funny cats on them. He always asked about my wife and children. I am going to miss him a lot.
My sincere sympathies and condolences to Pete's family.

I am shocked to hear of Peter's passing. We worked together for 15 years, 8 of which I supervised him. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good friend and we stayed in touch after he left Matson. I wrote him in January about the holidays and he wrote me. I can't believe he is gone. He was a good man. Kind, gentle and a great sense of humor. He went through some hard times and always endured. He was far to young to be taken.

Gloria, Andy, Eddie and Raymond: I was so saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I have many fond memories of time spent hanging out above the store, listening to music or fiddling with cb radios. Being able to have fun while my mother was shopping made trips to the store something to look forward to. The Bianchi family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My memories of Peter originated from our time at St. Ann's grade school and later as fellow organists at the early Sunday masses (he was always a much better musician than I). We lost touch for decades but had a chance to talk recently regarding the death of another St. Ann friend, Bob McMahon. I always thought of Peter when I passed White's Modern Market in my travels to the east side. My sympathy to the entire family, especially to his sister Gloria. God bless.
