Rosemary Ann Mangold Teets, age 83, of Fairview Township, passed away after an extended illness, on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Rosemary was born in Erie on June 28, 1930, the daughter of the late, Frank F. and Helen V. Schenk Mangold.
She was a 1948 graduate of Millcreek H.S., and was a member of the Erie County Environmental Coalition.
She enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas A. Teets, two daughters, Lynne Greenwald of Tacoma, Wash., Karen Hampton of Fairview, three grandchildren, Christy, Alissa, Noah, two great-grandchildren, Jack and Autumn, an aunt, Doris Davitt, of Erie and her children, Donald and Joseph Davitt, Nancy Eliason and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Teets (1975), and one brother, Gilbert Mangold.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 1070 Dutch Rd., Fairview, PA 16415, on Sunday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Manor and St. Vincent's ER and CNICU for the compassionate care given to Rosemary.
Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent Foundation "Healthy You Program," c/o Rosemary Ann Teets, 232 West 25th Street, Erie, PA 16544.
