Dear Helm Family,
Sorry for your loss. Ed was my boss at Laneco, and was quite a man. He and my husband had the Marine Corp. in common. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Ed, Mary, Rachel and Charlie,
Your Father was a great man, I had many great talks with him over the years working at Laneco, and many great memories. He will surely be missed.
My deepest sympathies to you all.

Ed IV and family, I had the pleasure of working with Ed for years. I will remember him well as a tough guy with a huge heart. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. My condolences.

To the Helm Family,

God made Ed in His image. A man of integrity, courgage, comfort, humility,
honor, and a twinkle in his eye for good times with friends and family.

I met Ed online when I was researching the death of L/CPL Mark McLaughlin - KIA-Vietnam. For years we emailed back and forth. We learned we were only a few miles apart in Vietnam near Hill 55. We were supposed to meet in NH a few years ago but my schedule would not allow it.

On behalf of the 101st Airborne Division (Vietnam).........Semper Fi, Ed. A valiant Marine we proudly call our brother and friend!!

Eddie, Mary, Rachel, Charlie, very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Ed was a very kind, generous, and giving man. He loved you all very much, he was very devoted to his family, friends, work, and we are all thankful for his service to our country. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was so proud of all of them and loved spending time with them. I remember all the fun times at your house with Mary, and Ed, and all of you. I would run home down the dark alley at night from 9th st to 8th st. All the sleepovers, parties, and special occasions together. He is with Mary now, and I'm sure my parents have welcomed him with open arms. Much love and prayers to you all at this time of sorrow. Love all of you...

Ed Helm:
Simply stated, Ed was a great man. Of all the adjectives to describe his nature, magnanimous is top of the list. He always greeted with a cheer, and imparted the feeling that you were a welcomed friend; no matter how your day, or his, was going. His generosity, kindness, love, and loyalty were boundless. I am honored to have known the man. I shall miss you, my friend....
To his family, I can only offer my deepest, heart-felt condolences. Though I miss him very much, I know he is alive in our hearts, at peace, and with his beloved Mary.
