GROWING MEMORIES WITH CAROL – in the neighborhood she was one of a few our age that grew up in “THE court”. At eight + years old, Carol, Sally, Cindy, Wendy, Hal and I spent some QUALITY times of our youth playing and schooling, and growing with each other. From watching the solar eclipse, to the neighborhood annual Crab Feast, a good group of kids developed in a healthy environment. Yeah, we were little angles, for the most part! We shared the sled in the winters, and bus stop and classrooms for years and years. AND THEN we had or knew someone who had a “RIDE”. That provided another group of memories in itself, and growing numbers “in the group”.
Growing with her and the “gang” proved she was a strong woman. She often had an opinion and sometimes didn't mind sharing it! A quiet and shy girl she was not…….but what a heart! She was never at rest and always planning something to entertain those that cared or dared. She just liked LIVING life!
Without a doubt Carol ALWAYS brought the laughter into the room, and while she will be missed, each time I think of her it warms my heart and puts a smile on my face.
My heartfelt condolences to all that morn her departure from this earth, but have faith that she is “one of the good ones”, and will be at peace in the ever-after.
