May I borrow the thoughts and words of Barb Broughton 'heart of gold, kindness, and faith', all so appropriate in remembrance of Ellen Hubbard. To these I add, ambition and community spirit. Ellen and Carl were a matched pair when it came to hard work for their own success and to help others. They were always there to do their part and more.

Ellen frequently visited my mother Frances during her later years living in Dansville, and Lakeville. Mom always enjoyed the conversation and that one-to-one personal contact - that was Ellen.

And, Ellen loved round and square dancing. I believe the final sunset may have been on the stomping grounds at the Ossian Grange Hall down the road from where she grew up. Ellen was a good dancer!

Ellen had a heart of gold. She was probably the kindest woman I have ever met. Her faith in God was amazing. Her friendship to my Mom was much appreciated. Love to the whole family. Paryers, Barb Broughton
