Shirley was such a wonderful dear friend of mine for many years. after retiring we did more things together, joining Curves, shopping, taking rides and going to McDonalds for our tea and soda breaks. I miss her so much and our conversations. She was like the sister I never had. I have such wonderful memories of her and our times together. I miss her more and more each day.
Shirley was a good friend at Geneseo with whom I've kept in contact since graduation in 1958. She will be missed, I know.
Shirley was a good personal friend, a great advocate of Faith in Action (IVCP)- serving on the board, as a volunteer getting groceries for homebound folks and working on mailings- as well as a wonderful neighbor to my Mom on Mays Ave. Her candor was refreshing, and often most humorous. She will truly be missed.
May the God of all comfort grant you peace.
Shirley had a great sense of humor and was such a direct and honest soul. She always made me laugh. Only wish I had known her better. Jane Prior
Special Sister-In-Law, will truly be missed.
We are friends with Alan and Jay and want to express our sympathy. Vivian and Fred Allen plus son Don.
She was a wonderful roommate at Geneseo. Always fun& ready to go. I wish I could have seen more of her as the years passed. I have a snapshot of Shirley at my wedding but I have no idea how to put it on here.
I could always count on Shirley for a truthful answer! She was not afraid to tell it like it was. I found that very refreshing! In addition, she was a stellar teacher. We worked inclusion together one year and bonded over being on the same page. I have utmost respect for this talented lady. I will miss her! Bernadette Wilson
