Alta Crouch Obituary

Mrs. Alta Mae Crouch, 77, of Oglesby, died at 8:15 P.M. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, April 5, 2015 at the Oglesby Cemetery with Rev. Tom Cox and Rev. Randy Keller officiating. Funeral services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 P.M. until 6 P.M.
Mrs. Crouch was born at Oglesby, Oklahoma on August 28, 1937 the daughter of David and Effie (Woodworth) Scott. She grew up and received her education in the Oglesby and Ramona Schools. She was married to Billy Fred Crouch on February 10, 1955 at Oglesby. They have made their homes in the Ramona and Oglesby areas since that time. She was employed for over 25 years for the Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedics Center in Tulsa until her retirement. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star at Ramona and then Oologah, was known as the "best pie maker around", and she loved her grandbabies. She attended the Oglesby Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy F. Crouch, two daughters, Deborah June Gordon of Nowata and Billie Ann Inman and her husband Robert of Oglesby, three sisters, Imogene Tennant of Nowata, Dorlia Faulkner of Oglesby and Leona Pickett of Bartlesville, four grandchildren, Dustin McCormack, Cody Inman, Kyla Simpson and Kacey Watts and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Leon Scott, one sister, Sybil Raymer and two grandchildren, Cory McCormack and Heather Moncrief.

To Alta Mae's family and friends: Wayne and I send our most heartfelt condolences concerning the passing of Alta Mae. Alta Mae was devoted to her family and will be missed by many. I considered her to be one of my most favorite people. May the warmest memories of her be of great comfort in the time to come.
