Arthur L. "Bud" Rainwater Jr. passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at 4:25 a.m.
Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Arthur L. Rainwater Jr. was born July 19, 1930 in Morris, OK to Arthur L. and Lizzie Ella (Tunin) Rainwater. He married Mary Lee Ellison on January 10, 1949 in Bentonville, AR. Bud's career was in oil production as an oil lease owner. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and lake activities. Bud was an excellent marksman in Bench Rest competitive shooting, winning many trophies, awards and accolades.
Bud is survived by his wife Mary of the home, two daughters; Diana and husband Phil Shelts and Karen and husband Herb Hays all of Bartlesville. He was blessed with four grandchildren; Mike and Brandi Shelts, Brad and Liz Shelts, Herb L. and Karen Hays Jr., Chris and Tina Tatum, sixteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, family and many friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lola Carpenter.
Bud was a man's man, the most gentle soul on earth. He will be greatly missed.
