D,D, was a great friend in Vietnam. We served with Company C, 1/327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division in 1970, We were two guys that had been drafted out of our teaching positions; me in Minnesota, and Dale in Oklahoma. After serving the first part of our year-long tour in the jungle, we both received assignments with jobs back at battalion headquarters at Camp Eagle. We were able to spend a lot of time together. May he Rest In Peace!

Uncle Bud. I'm so sad to learn of your passing. We had so many great times. I love you and will always cherish the good times, memories of you teaching me to shoot basketballs, and to water ski. And by the way, there never was a snake in the lake.... Good one though. Made me want to stay on the ski's.
