Mr. Summerall was my math teacher when I was in the 8th grade in Lake City. All the girls had such a crush on him and, of course, wanted to do well in his class. A friend and I worked especially hard and did exceptionally well...so well, in fact, that he wanted us to be placed in the 9th grade algebra class at the high school! For some reason, our performance declined a tad and we managed to stay in his class. He was such an inspirational teacher. I remember the huge line at the 8th grade dance and a marvelous cookout at his home. He did everything with such class, such professionalism, genuine compassion, and grace. Having lost my daddy, I know how painful this is, no matter how prepared one might be. May you find comfort in knowing so many people admired, respected, and cared for him.

Pat was a distant cousin, on his Mom's side (Silcox), I always hoped I would see him in Augusta during Masters where I live, but never ran into him. He was a good athlete, good sportscaster & a good person. Sympathies to all his family, friends & fans.

I wanted to spend time with my Dad, being his only child, and a girl, we found mutual enjoyment from watching NFL Games together. Sundays were our day! I rememember Pat's voice, the voice of NFL for many years. My Dad passed in 1993. My condolences to the Summerall family, I know what you are going through. Thank you for sharing you Dad with us, the football fans. His voice, I can still hear in my mind; along with my Dad as we cheered on our favorite teams. Great Memories! Praying for peace in your hearts and vivid memories of your beloved Dad.
