June M. Ahrens, 79, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Nebraska City, passed away Jan. 30, 2018.
June worked at Truman High School in Independence, Mo., as the attendance secretary. She retired from Truman in 1996.
She is survived by her children: Chuck Ahrens, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mike Ahrens (Dorena) and Angie Ahrens, all of Omaha; grandson, Christopher Ahrens; brothers, Richard Dovey, Nebraska City and Mitch Dovey (Sheryl), Denver, Colo.; and other family and friends.
The family will greet friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m., at Gude Mortuary, 403 S. 9th St., Nebraska City, NE 68410; 402-873-6011; www.gudefuneralhomes.com. Burial in Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City.
