We were so sorry to hear of Mr. Lasater's passing. it wasn't that long ago we saw both of you in HyVee in Independence and we talked for awhile. He was such an honest, hard-working and caring man. Both my husband, Craig and my son, Alex had him in high school and they both loved him dearly. I pray you find comfort in the memories that you hold dear, and know he was a good and faithful servant and honest, talented and caring in everything he did, both music and his teaching. I remember Mr. Lasater asked Alex to help him move, and I thought that was extra special for a teacher to care about someone so much as to personally ask them to do something like that. Such a great man - praying you find peace.

You unaccountably took us under your wing when we first arrived at Hosanna. We visited your home several times, shared stories of Iceland, teaching at the Lutheran high school, getting to know the parrots... above all sharing our love for Hosanna and its pilgrims. We love you Peggy. Ted and Susan

I am so sorry to here of Larry's passing. Of course, he was always Mr. Lasater to me as a student at Lutheran High School. I had drafting and he gave me more time on some architecture and music projects. As a student interested in drafting and architecture as well as music, he was a particularly strong mentor for me. I know my father has very much enjoyed working with Larry over the years. Our prayers go out to you and your family. Most sincerely. Michael Arndt

I'm so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I taught with him at Truman. He was an outstanding teacher and such a good person. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
