My prayers go out to the family of Dean Meminger. May they find comfort in the,Lord. I am not sure why I was unable to find details about his funeral as I really wanted to be there I am sadden by his untimely death. For me he was a very special memory I shared my first real kiss with him, then he convinced me that there was value in eating a raw egg shake, attending church together and the laughs that young people share in HS and inventing our own code to say good night from his window to mines. The years moved on like each of us did. I followed his career and the times he was having his great moments and those less memorable. But in all times he was and continues for to be for me "Dean" the Dream" Dean rest in peace.

Dean "the Dream" soared above me in the Bronx Catholic Boy School Championships at LaSalle Gym in 1963. St. Cecelia's trounced Sacred Heart (HighBride) that day. I've been a fan ever since. May he rest in peace. Richie (now in Hantsport, Nova Scotia)
