What the earth has lost, the heavens have gained; a talent that may be imitated by those to come, but will never be duplicated by those who try...Prayers go out to those who have lost a very special person.

My heart felt condolences to his family. He was an incredible actor and a true Chicagoan. The stars shine a little dimmer for his passing.

Was privileged to meet Dennis Farina at a Chicago cocktail party three years ago. I mentioned being a fan of a 1980-ish stage production he did here; couldn't recall the title, but I mentioned, "You were in it with Gary Cole & it had a military theme." He came up with the title immediately: "A Class C Trial In Yokahama" -- which he acted in with the old Chicago Theater Project troupe. He couldn't have been nicer or more pleasant. Always found him talented and attractive, particularly his voice. Rest peacefully --
