Bobby Bickley, age 73, a good Christian man went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, Feb. 5. He fought a long hard battle with Cancer.
He was born in Eufaula on Aug. 31, 1938 to Grady and Alice (Bennett) Bickley. His family has strong ties to Barbour County and especially Eufaula and Clayton areas.
Bobby is well remembered as a good business man, owning many businesses over time in this area which included the Eufaula Vault Co., grocery store, insurance agent, restaurants and the Bickley Construction Co. Unhappy with retirement he went to work part time in the Winn-Dixie seafood dept. He retired from that in May 2007.
Bobby is survived by his wife Connie; sons Ray (Dawn) Bickley of Headland, Ritchie Bickley (Rhonda Cotton) of Eufaula; daughters Shanda (Harry) Wilson of Headland, and Fonda (Mike) Vollenweider of La Grange, Ga. He also is survived by step children Henry (Cheri) Sineway of Orlando, Fla. and Dawn Sineway of Michigan.
He has 9 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews that remain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Grady, Jr. and William 'Dick' Bickley, a granddaughter Bridgette Wilson and his stepson William Sineway.
We want to give special thanks to Covenant Hospice for all their tender care over the last months and to Chapman Funeral Home and Barbour Health Dept.
A grave side memorial service will be held Sunday, Feb 12, at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Chapman Funeral Home directing. Billy Ray Hagler will deliver the eulogy.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Covenant Hospice.

Connie, Sorry to hear of your loss. I know he is not in pain any more.
He is with Jesus. May God be with you and get you through this time
of loss. Remembering the time you guys stopped by my house, in the
summer time I think. I really enjoyed that visit. I think that was the first
time we had met. I'm glad we had time with him at family reunion too.
Sending you my love and prayers. cousin Cathy Green
