Dennis P. Krauss, 68, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in Clearwater, Fla., where he had resided since 1978.
He was born in East Cleveland on Feb. 23, 1945.
Mr. Krauss attended schools in Ohio and graduated in 1968 with a B.S. from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He was a member of the Green Wave football team.
He entered the computer software industry over 45 years ago and became a senior software engineer.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Clarisse Ansel Krauss; two daughters, Julie A. Krauss-Lucas, N.D. (Michael) of Seattle, Wash., and Heidi E. Krauss of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, Ronald C. (Cindy) Krauss of Houston, Texas, Matthew D. Krauss of Clearwater, Fla., and Gregory J. (Lauren) Krauss of Frisco, Texas; six grandchildren, Laurence Krauss-Lucas, Gunnar and Sonja Krauss, and Jaeger, Hagan and Anneliese Krauss; sister, Kathryn K. (James) Lane of Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Helen Fox Krauss; and a brother, O. Ronald Krauss.
Mr. Krauss will be interred in a private service in New Orleans, La.
