BELLEVUE — Doris Weiland, age 88, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence.
She was born May 21, 1926 in Monroeville the daughter of the late Walter and Cora Boehler.
Doris was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to flea markets and shopping.
Doris was one of the founders of Historic Lyme Village.
Survivors include her son, David (Sue) Weiland of Bellevue; daughters: Darlene (John) Nixon of Monroeville, Debra (Dean) Bellew of Bellevue; 5 grandchildren; 5 step granddaughters; 8 great grandchildren; and her brother, Kenneth Boehler of Monroeville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Weiland, who she married June 15, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville, he preceded her in death Jan. 22, 2013; one brother, Melvin Boehler; and a grandson, Shawn Weiland.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 9:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am at Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, 1617 Milan Rd, Sandusky, OH. Burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery.
