PASSARETTI, JOSEPH SR. 85 - of Hammonton, passed away at Virtua Hospital in Berlin on Oct.24, 2012. Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY and has been a resident of Hammonton since 1984. He was a Veteran of the US Navy during WWII, He was a life member of the VFW Post #1026, American Legion F.A. Funston Post #186, D.A.V. Chapter #66 all of Hammonton. He also was a member of Sons of Italy in Brooklyn, NY, Knights of Columbus Williamstown, NJ and a past Grand Knight Council #1073 in Brooklyn, NY and a member of Loyal Order of Moose #548 in Lindenwold, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline. Joe is survived by his sons Joseph Jr. of Dundee Mi., Dominick (Staci) of Lebonon, Pa., Jeffrey of Egg Harbor City, and Gregory of Queens, NY, his daughters Catherine Lewis (Ralph) of Brooklyn, NY and Laura Ann Passaretti (Anthony) of Freehold, NJ. Dear brother of Josephine Passaretti and Anna Gervase. Loving grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 2. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday eve. 7:00pm-9:00pm and Sat 9:30am-10:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. 3rd St. Hammonton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Sat. 11:00am St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish â€" St. Martin de Porres Church Egg Harbor Rd. and Park Ave. Hammonton, NJ. POP, I'd like to let you know that you were and are my HERO and the WORLD'S GREATEST DAD. I'd like to thank you and MOM for giving me life and guiding my steps through life to make me a better person. I've learned alot from you through the years and will NEVER FORGET what you taught me. To all my Passaretti cousins I am so sorry to hear of Cousin Joe passing. Although we haven't seen him in years I can still remember the times we were all together for macaroni on Sundays with Pauline, Joe Sr and all you kids. Those were certainly the good old days. I am so sorry for your loss and will remember you all in my prayers. Rest in Peace Joe and say hello to my father for me (Uncle Charlie)..Love Roseanne and family
