FERLITA, Josephine Collura, 98, passed away on Nov 19,2012. She was born in Tampa, FL on September 9, 1914. She retired from the Hillsborough County Board of Education after 35 years of service as an Executive Secretary. She also served as a longtime volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Ferlita was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Ferlita; and son, Nelson Paul Ferlita. She is survived by her sister, Mary Collura Raines; son, Richard Allen Ferlita; special friends, James W. Carmichael and Liana F. Fox; and nieces, Hettie Lynn Elm, Anna Rose Martino, Leonora Martino, and Norma Jean King. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, 10 AM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue,Tampa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I have worked at SJH and I also went the HHS a long, long time ago. So I have known Mrs. Ferlita and her sister for a long time. Mrs. Ferlita was always so nice and always looked so pretty. She was a wonderful LADY.
