Joyce Ann Trobaugh STATESVILLE God said, on the day you were born, I am giving you little wings because you are one of my special children on earth. Joyce knew love and happiness and shared that love to all who knew her. God said, today your wings are very big and it's time to fly to Me in Heaven, as you are an angel now. Joyce Ann was born in Memphis, Tenn., on December 20, 1949. Joyce Ann was preceded in death by her father, James Oran Trobaugh; and mother, Alma Forhess Trobaugh; her brother, Jerry Thomas Trobaugh; and her brother-in-law, James Stuart Busch, USN of Chicago, Ill. Joyce is survived by her sister, Vivianne Busch; her niece, Pamela Ann Hacker (Bob); and great-nephew, Jared Robert Hacker; all of Troutman, and her many special friends in Mundeline, Ill. and Statesville. Joyce and her sister moved to Statesville in 2007, to be near their family in Troutman. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and CNA's at Iredell Memorial Hospital and to the wonderful people at Hospice of Iredell County, who all gave Joyce such loving care. Also, Gail Pratt, CNA and Dudley Home Health, who showed such loving care to Joyce and her sister. And last but not least, Father Kurt and Deacon Matt Riley, of St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church. Joyce had down syndrome and was with the Special Olympics in Vernon Hills, Ill., and Statesville. She loved bowling and dancing. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 0867 in Mundeline, Ill. Joyce was an organ donor. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joyce Ann Trobaugh will be scheduled at a later date. Online condolences can be made to the family at nicholsonfunerals .com/obituaries.
