I remember meeting Fess Parker when I was 13 at La Cumbre plaza in Santa Barbara. He was with his mom sitting outside on the plaza in the sun and asked my sister and I were we were from. We had grown up in Lompoc and he was so gracious introducing us to his mom. He signed autographs for us both too. What a nice human being.

I really enjoyed Fess Parker as a kid and will always be appreciative of the way he portrayed Davy Crockett and Daniel Boon.
As I get older, as entertainment has turned to filth, I can watch cd's of the shows of my youth and smile.
Fess Parker's portrayal of "Davy and Daniel" were fascinating to me. I looked up to him and others who represented what was good, in a world that more often, fixated on the bad.

God bless the Parker family and bless this country, the USA - eternal home of the Crockett's and Boone's.

I didn't know Fess Parker had passed away... as a child in Lubock,Texas I use to live next door to a lady that told us she was his aunt. She had pictures all over the place of him... she would tell me stories of him as a child and she brought this man to life for me... I really enjoyed watching him in Daniel Boone... and know more about his life made me like the programs even more.... he will missed by this old lady...

I am Brazilian. As a child I loved watching Daniel Boone. I regret his death and thank you for being an example of so many children in infancy. You're on God's side. by Pedro Paulo Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

I knew Mr. Parker was deceased, but I didn't know the date. He brings back such happy childhood memories of my singing the "Davy Crockett" theme song from the Walt Disney sponsored series base on the frontiersman of the same name. It was pretty heady for a six year old GIRL (That was very UNUSUAL in those days of 1954/55) to be asked by the teacher to sing the entire song in front of the whole first grade class. I DID IT! To this day, almost 60 years later, I can still remember most of the words to that theme song. I didn't watch "Daniel Boone" because I was a "grown up" college student by then. Rest in peace, and thanks for the beautiful childhood memories. BTW, I wanted one of those coonskin caps, and a fringed leather jackets so badly, but with eight kids to fed/support my parents couldn't afford them.

I will 64 years old in a couple of weeks. I was born an raised in southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. i wouldn't miss a TV show of his when I was a Teenager. I had such a crush on him. I still watch reruns of Daniel Boone. The shows now are so filled with foul language and all the things that television could do without. I am a old lady with a great grandchild, I wish she could see more wholesome stuff that they see these days. It's raunchy and crude and disrespectful. He was a good person and actor to respect and live up to.
