Happy happy first Thanksgiving in Heaven Uncle Al. You are already deeply missed. I know you are having the time of your life and I look forward to when we can all be together again. Give Matthew and all my family a big hug from me. I love you to the Heavens and back.

Dad, I still cannot believe you are gone... I keep going into your room, sit on your bed and hug your pillow. I can stil smell you! You were an amazing man and I would have done anything for you. You were always there for me. I'm so thankful we were able to take you home from the nursing home. I only wish we could have done it sooner. I enjoyed every minute you were home from having coffee with you on the front porch to tucking you in every night before bed. Those moments were very special to me. We may have only had two weeks together at home but they were the best two weeks of my life. I know you didn't want to be taken care of. I know how proud you were, but I was honored to be able to care for you. You were an absolute pleasure and I cherished every minute we had together. I wanted to give you a home, a place you could spend your last days in, with the ones you loved. I just wasn't expecting to lose you so soon! I had so many plans for us all now that you were home with us. John wanted to take you fishing, we were planning a big 90th birthday party for you! We were going to have the holidays together! I was so looking forward to that!
I'm so happy you were able to go so peacefully. It was just how you wanted Dad. Although I know you are finally at peace, my heart is broken. You meant so much to all of us and you will be deeply missed each and every day. I will always remember the wonderful hugs you used to give me. I could feel your love... I always felt your love. You were such a loving man. Thank you for being such a wonderful dad to CJ. You were the only dad she ever knew and you were amazing. Thank you for being such an important part of our lives. I will never forget the incredible person you were. Thank you for always loving me! We miss you and love you tremendously, Melissa, John, Chaselyn, Antonio, Marianna and Koji.

Tell Memere, Gram and Dianne that we love them! Matthew too! And when you see Uncle Bob give him the biggest hug from me!

It was an honor having you in our lives. You can finally rest in peace. till we meet again... xo

Dear Dad,
I was glad that I able to come out and see you in January. It was nice to sit with you and visit. You came into my life when I was just a little boy. I remember the special times. Like birthdays and holidays and when I came home from leave from the service. You'd always be at the airport to pick me up. I appreciate everything you did for me Pop! Lisa and I and the boys love you tons and will miss you. Look on us once every once and a while? I will come visit you when I come home. You can rest now Dad! Love, Rod
