Loving Mother, Grandmother
and Great-Grandmother
WESTMINSTER -- Grace R. (DiGregorio) Migliozzi, 98 died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after an illness.
She was the wife of the late Paul A. Migliozzi Sr. who died January 2, 1991.
She leaves three sons Casto A. "Casey" Migliozzi of Westminster, Dr. Joseph A. Migliozzi and his wife Linda of Tampa, FL, Dr. Paul A. Migliozzi Jr., and his wife Judith of Fitchburg, five grandsons the Honorable Joseph A. Migliozzi, Jr. of Norfolk, VA, Christopher J. Migliozzi and his wife Dawn of Orlando, FL, Justin Migliozzi of Tampa, FL, Anthony Migliozzi and his wife Sheila of Enfield, CT, and Matthew Migliozzi of Boston, two great-granddaughters, Zoe M. Migliozzi of Norfolk, VA, and Layla Migliozzi of Enfield, CT, and one brother Leo DiGregorio of Vero Beach, FL, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Grace is predeceased by two sisters, Anne Mallozzi, and Rose Kowalcek, five brothers Angelo DiGregorio, Lorenzo DiGregorio, Frank DiGregorio, Peter DiGregorio, and Joseph DiGregorio.
She was born in Worcester on September 30, 1914 the oldest of nine children to the late Joseph and Rose (Sascia) DiGregorio. She worked as a stitcher for the former Davies Pocketbook Co., and Stevens Sportswear in Worcester.
She has been a member of St. Edward The Confessor Church since moving from Worcester to Westminster in June of 1977. Prior to that time she was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Worcester where she was married to the late Paul A. Migliozzi Sr. in September of 1936 and where she sang in the chuch choir for many years. She was also an active member of the Bloomingdale School Mothers's Club on Plantation Street, in Worcester.
She was an excellent cook, she was well known for her Italian specialty dishes; raviolis, lazagana, Italian cookies, and especially her stuffed pizza. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
MIGLIOZZI -- Her Funeral will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Family Funeral Homes, 123 Main Street, Westminster, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473.
Burial will follow in the Woodside Cemetery, 9 Narrows Road, Westminster, MA 01473.
Calling Hours will be on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5:00 -- 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
