God bless Jamie. He always saw the upside in every situation. He was quick to add mirth and insight in times when they were needed, often in the same sentence. My sincere condolences to his family and close friends.
RIP to my cousin, Jamie Allain...we had so many good times growing up...Spec Pond, whiffleball, Betty's blueberry muffins, the time you bet $50 on the 8-1 underdog Ali to beat Foreman and he did!, the time you were on Boston TV sinking the winning shot from deep downtown in the corner to win a state title for ND. Then there was the time you had me call 1280 WEIM to ask local sports legend, Joe White about how he thought ND basketball looked this year. Joe mentioned your name and went thru the lineup and you whispered to me to ask about the skills of one JAMIE ALLAIN...so Joe spoke more about you as your eyes lit up and your smile got even bigger, LOL. I will miss you cuz...hope we meet in heaven and they have a whiffle ball park just like the backyard at 231 Priest St.
I worked for Jamie more than 25 years ago, and remember him as a smart and good man. May God have mercy on his soul and on all of us.
Coach Allain was my basketball coach for the last two years at St. Pius X School. He taught me a lot about the game and pushed me to be a better player. Even though we could see his health was declining, he never missed a practice or game and gave it his "all". Rest in Peace, Coach.

My condolences to Jamie's family and friends. I am a friend of his from High School. We went to his Junior Prom together. He was such a gentleman with a very kind heart.
