WESTMINSTER -- Mary L. (Tofferi) Roberto, 75 years old, of Westminster, died March 23, 2013 after an illness. She leaves her husband of 49 years Francis S. Roberto, 3 children Karen McGuirk and her husband Bernard, Douglas Roberto and Laura Roberto. She also leaves her 2 grandsons Aidan McGuirk age 7 and Connor McGuirk age 9.
Mary was born in Fitchburg on September 5, 1937, daughter of Arthur and Frances (O'Dea) Tofferi. She was a graduate of Vermont Junior College in 1957 and worked in biotechnology at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg.
Mary loved adventure receiving her pilots license at Fitchburg Airport and was one of the first women to parachute from an airplane in Fitchburg. She also loved nature, the great outdoors, art, and painting. She was a caring mother and she will be greatly missed.

Douglas and Family, Sorry for the loss of your Mother Mary. I heard so much about Mrs. Roberto from Doug and admire her strengths and determination during her later years. I respect and congradulate her on the accomplishments she achieved while experiencing her life long journey.
