To the entire Hobson family:

On behalf of the Barber family please accept our most sincere condolences on At's passing. He and his first wife (Tiny) were two of my parents dearest friends. My dad and At grew up together and I had the pleasure to know him my entire life.

Referring to Mr. Hobson as a "gentle man" may be quite the understatement. When I was only about four years old I decided to paint his basement at a time and with a color that was not exactly appropriate. In fact, he had NO desire to have it painted at all! I must have thought it was art and proceeded to make a huge mess. Well, At just laughed out loud and shrugged it off. He and my folks relished in telling that story for years. I might add that in my adult life I have left painting to the professionals.

At Hobson was simply a nice man, good citizen and wonderful father. He beamed with pride over his daughters and provided for his family with hard work and dignity.

Godspeed to his soul.
