To the family of David or as I and others that played bridge on line called him DC. Never saw him in person but played with or against him many times over the years at the bridge table. I knew him as bright, articulate and excellent bridge player and was fun to be at the table with him whether as his partner or opponent. Another thing I liked about DC was no one could accuse him of a lack of candor. I just found out today that he had passed and I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will truly be missed by bridge players across the globe.
Ernie Conner, Atwater, CA, AKA Gunner or Gunz at the Bridge table.

(I sent photos-separate message) I met a new person today and I recommended that he connect with David and Art Wenzlaff because they know how to make things happen. He told me he knew David and that he had passed away this year. I am very saddened to see that it is true. I only knew David for a short and very brief time when I worked for the Flint River Watershed Coalition (2011). I quickly learned that David was a very valuable soul that had such compassion and tenacity to help improve the quality of life around him and others. I have shared with many my thoughts for Thread Lake - but it was David that put in action many aspects towards reclaiming this lake for enjoyment of others. He coordinated multiple Storm Drain Awareness outreach efforts for the neighborhoods around Thread Lake, and - multiple tire-removal programs. David engaged others and made these programs work. He not only improved my life and those he engaged with - he helped improve a resource that people in the future can enjoy. I wish there were more people like David - this is truly a loss for all of us.

I learned of David's passing through the Michigan Alumni book today and was saddened of his passing. He was a great friend. We grew up in the same neighborhood, attended the same high school and attended college together but then lost contact over the following years although I would hear about his career through others. He was a great friend in our early years and I wish we could have kept in contact better. My best wishes to Bruce, Gordon and Rose Mary that I knew in our early years and so sorry for their loss and the loss of a friend to me and so many in the Flint and Grand Blanc community.

I just learned of David's passing today and a sad day it is. We were classmates all through elementary and high school and on to college. I have been out of touch for several years but remember him for his sense of humor. It seems he was a guiding light for many students. What a wonderful legacy to leave.

Sorry for the loss of Mr. Caswell. He was my elementary principal and he was always the nicest man even when I became grown. he lived in the same neighborhood as I and i would always make it a point to stop and talk to him. Rest In Heaven Mr. Caswell.

Sorry to hear about David's passing. I worked as a maintenance supervisor in the Flint School System, and got to know David when he was the principle at Cook school.
