I purchased a watercolor from Dee at an Art Fair at MSU in I think it was 1972-73. A vase of daisies in front of a window looking out on a tree losing it's leaves in the fall. Very beautiful, simple, restful.I just recently learned of her passing. She still touches us with the legacy of her Art.

She is gone but the beautiful art that she created remains to remind us of what a loving and talented person she was. Thank you Dee and Ray for so many fond memories.

The painting at left top is my Opaque Watercolor I did at U of M, with Dee's Still Life I in mind.... U of M purchased it from the Student Show and it hung in the Ad Bldg for many years. I then bought it back before moving out of Flint to Ann Arbor. Now it is proudly displayed next to Dee's in my apartment:-) Love you Both forever !!!!!!!

Dear Dear Ray. I am very sad about Dee's passing b/c she has accomplished so much in her short life, and still had so much more in her swift imagination to accomplish.... I have never stopped thinking about both of you, and will continue to do so. Love you and wish you the BEST always !!!!

Dear Ray I'm so sorry to hear of Dee's passing. She was a beautiful person and wonderful artist. I will always think of Dee as I look at her paintings. Cindy and I moved from Michigan 3 years ago to Palm Springs, Ca.. I will never forget running into you when we vacationed in Beaufort. Jim Nelson (jnelson286@gmail.com)

I was too nervous to speak at Dee's wonderful memorial service, but if I had I would have told the story of how Dee named the mockingbird that perched on her roof "Dorothy" after her mother. When we'd go out for our walks we would look for Dorothy, and if we spotted her we would say "Hi, Dorothy". How synchronistic that would have been since the pastor followed the wonderful eulogies with the story of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, clicking her heels and saying "there's no place like home.."
