Laura and Elizabeth, I am so sorry to hear about Doug. He was an incredible man. I have many fun memories at your house and remember what an amazing person Doug was. He treated me like another granddaughter. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. May God give you comfort during this time. Many prayers for you both and your family.

Dear Halstead Family, I worked with Doug for a few years on one of his side-jobs while he was a new Firefighter for the City of Flint. In later years, when he was a Fire Executive, we only saw each other a few times.
Regardless, I always enjoyed his passion for the fire service, sense of humor & thoughtfulness. I considered him a friend in the best sense of the word. He will be missed by all.

Judy, I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. He has such a precious Christian face; I really see the Lord in him. The joy he is feeling right now; he's like a child out at play in the fields of Heaven.

Dave,
So sorry to hear about your dad. He was the first Union President that I worked for and it was a pleasure working with him. Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family during this sad time. Just remember all the great things your dad stood for.

Years ago,as a nurse at the Red Cross, I worked with Doug who was ALWAYS such a gentleman, and always had a smile. To his family, you have my deepest sympathy--I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
