FRANCES VIRGINIA

Frances Virginia (Keel) Alward, age 69, of Burton died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the
University of Michigan Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. Frances was born November 26, 1943 in Crestview, FL, to parents Grady and Edith (Buchanan) Keel. She was married to George Leslie Alward March 19, 1966 in Fort Walton Beach FL. She was a Bishop Sewing Instructor for many years and was a "Sulky" Machine Embroidery Instructor, certified dog obedience trainer, a seamstress, a crafter, a mother, wife, and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren without question. Just ask her and she would produce a purse full of pictures of her grandchildren and relate their latest accomplishments or antics. She was always ready to show pictures of her latest projects and thoroughly enjoyed her crafts and friends. She loved animals, trailer camping and had a burning zest for life. She was an amazing woman, a gentle compassionate soul with a ready sense of humor. We will all miss her. Surviving are husband George; children Joseph Leslie Alward, Elise Delynn Sweeney (Alward) Karen Elieen Loomer (Alward); grandchildren Joshua Joseph Alward, Rachel Anna Alward, Cayden Garrett Loomer, Dylan Jacob Sweeney, Chloey Delila Noelle Loomer; nieces and nephews Robey Manley, Melissa Manley; siblings Samuel William Keel, Maryann Manley.
