Just want to tell you how much your dad was loved by all the walkers and runners in this area. Mick was always there at the finish cajoling us to go faster, finish harder. We missed him so when he could not get out there anymore. He touched so many people with his great spirit. My sympathies to all your family and to all of us. A great guy!

Dearest RuthAnn,

Even though I knew your dear father was in failing health, I was truly sorry to receive your call that he had passed. It is never easy to lose a loved one, especially a parent.

As you know, I met your dad many years ago, when he was a member Michigan State AFL-CIO Executive Board. And I have such great memories of him sitting in the front row at those meetings, signing checks, chewing on a cigar!

The one photo of him (with his cigar) on his remembrance page captures my memory of how he looked as he was signing those checks!

Mick was always in a good mood and always had a ready smile. It was a pleasure having him on our board.

He shall be missed.

Blessings to you and your family,

Patty Farhat, Secretary
Michigan State AFL-CIO
