Dr. GERALD SEYMOUR REZNICK

REZNICK, Dr. GERALD SEYMOUR Age 85, of Grand Blanc, MI, passed away surrounded by his loving family Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Delray Beach, FL. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., with Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd. Grand Blanc, MI. Rabbi Peter Gluck will be officiating. Interment to follow service at Machpelah Cemetery. Gerald was born July 2, 1930 in Detroit, MI to parents Nathan and Ida (Plavnick) Reznick. As a youth, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Gerald graduated from Hillsdale College, where he participated on the basketball team and the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to being a devoted family man, Gerald gave back to his community as the Genesee County Sheriff Department's police surgeon as well as volunteer medical services with Flint Special Olympics, local community school athletic teams and Flint Golden Gloves. Gerald was a member of the American Osteopathic Association and served the Genesee County area as a Physician for over 30+ years, delivering many of the children in the area. Surviving are his children Robert Reznick, Dr. Terry Reznick, Dr. Lisa Reznick; grandchildren Andrea Reznick, Erin (Joey) McCarthy, Adam Reznick, Rachel Reznick; great-grandson Owen McCarthy; daughter-in-law Carolyn Reznick and several cousins. Gerald was preceded in death by wife Sandie in 2009; his parents and sister Blanche Robinson. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hillsdale College, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or Special Olympics.
