Ms. Scott will truly be remembered by the Pershing family. R.I.P. class of 69
I'm glad Dr. Scott was one of the strong ladies God brought to mentor me in my impressionable years. Scott's family know as we are mourning the loss of our love, others are rejoicing to meet her on the other side. May god be with you in your travels
My prayers are with the Scott Family. May you find comfort in knowing Dr. Scott is resting in the presence of the Lord. She was a dignified, classy woman and a great role model, teacher and person. When I think of Pershing High School, I will always remember Dr. Scott.
My prayers are with your family in your time of need. I attened Perahing from 86 to 90

She was a Great woman who was about Education and stood Firm about what she said and meant just what she meant. Dr. K.Scott was always supportive to me and helped me get into College and I did receive my DEGREES. DR. SCOTT WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED BY ALL OF HER PERSHING FAMILY.
Well Done Thy Good And Faithful Servant. You are a wonderful lady that I had the chance to meet while I attended Pershing High.
Thanks for the "tough love" that you provided to me during my tenure at Pershing High School.
As a 1981 graduate and the current athletic director at Pershing, I often sit on the bench in the office and ponder the many lessons that you and the GREAT administration gave me. May you rest in peace.

I was a student of Miss Scotts' in the late 60's...She was one of my two FAVORITE TEACHERS, I have not seen her in many years , however because of her nurturing sprit she made a lasting positive impact on my LIFE..... RIP... Beautiful Lady... Class of 1969
I will remember Dr. Scott because I came into to meeting when I got kick out of one of my classes in 1988 and she was a beautiful lady, RIP.
Ms. Scott was my favorite teacher of all times (Bookkeeping and Recordkeeping) A true inspiration.
I had several business classes with Dr. Scott at Pershing H.S. She was always a very sharp dresser. I will always be greatful for the life lessons I learned in her classes and I will always remember her. May she rest in peace.
My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Dr. Scott.

Dr. Scott.wow.. she was very visible. .and a great influence even though I didn't know it at that time. .Thanks Dr Scott..your memories will last.
I remember when I got to Pershing I was terrified of Dr.Scott, I had heard soo many stories on how mean she was from my sister Katrina Spratt-Hurt, that had graduated 10 years prior to me. However, I learned that she wasn't mean at all, she was just a very concerned/ no nonsense teacher, that knew that her students could do better. Dr.Scott, thanks for giving us that extra push as an encouragement, for us to become responsible adults.

And The Spratt Family
Well I am lost for words. It was a pleasure to have met and know Dr. Scott for many years. I used to hate to run into her because my aunt Mrs. Connally worked at Pershing High and if I got caught in the hall I would be in big trouble. One day I ran dead smack into Dr. Scott and boy oh boy I knew I was in trouble. She made me come into her office and simply said "don't let me catch you again in this hallway or I'm telling your aunt" gave me a pass to class I was TERRIFIED!! I've loved her every since. RIP Dr. Scott you will be truly missed.
I am not sure what to say. I loved Dr.Scott. I remember how we would skip school to get something good to eat for lunch. Someone would see Dr. Scott and we would hid. Just when we thought the coast was clear, we could come out from hiding and out of nowhere she would appear and say, "Come with me". The only thing you could do was to plead with her not to call your parents. Even though calling your parents was sometimes better than having Dr. Scott chew you out.
We will all miss Dr. Scott. She was truly instrumental in making me the man that I am today.
Love you Dr. Scott!

Rest in peace Dr. Scott! I will miss the personal notes we exchanged in our Christmas cards. God's peace to the family. Matt.5:4
I did not have much contact with Dr. Scott in school. I had an opportunity to get to know her later in life with my visits to her home when my sister, Ann went. She was a great host. Always direct and to the point. She would make you laugh and cry at the same time. She was very giving from the heart. I will miss her dearly. She was my sister's favorite teacher. She touched her life as a child and made a different. She touched my life as an adult and made a different.
It was my pleasure to know Dr. Scott as a student, co-worker and friend. She is very special to me and I will hold dear all of the lessons she taught me and the many memories we shared until our last visit in April, 2013. I presented her with a bouquet of flowers for her birthday, and I am very happy she was able to see them. Rest now, my friend.
Hi Aunt Kathalyn,
I am so happy that I saw you last weekend. You looked so pretty, as always. I will miss your stories, and your laughter. Fortunately, I will carry both in my heart.. forever.
Thank you for always being there!
Your youngest niece,
P. Harsenia C. Scott
