To Jane and the rest of Rons Family..my sympathy and heartfilled love to Rons memory..he was without a doubt one of the kindest..thoughtful and fun spirited men who I ever knew. God has taken one of the very good people back to his heart. We will all miss him very much. Rest in Peace Ron. Frank Aremia
I grew up with Ron and have often thought of him since he left Union City. Our parents were lifelong friends. I wish his family strength and courage and much love during this grief-filled time. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten! Heartfelt condolences to the Brewer Family and all those who love them. Deb Coats Versau
I am proud to have had the honor of playing football for Coach Brewer. As a defensive lineman I got to spend time with him and learn from him. Ron had effective, yet always hilarious ways of either correcting bad technique or giving a pat on the back, and he gave those often.
Playing football for GBHS is one of the best things that I have ever been a part of, not because of winning games or glory or bright lights, but because of the friendships and bonds that can only be built spending many hours sacrificing time and effort for a common goal together. Coach Brewer was a cornerstone of that whole experience, and I count him among the very best of great Men that I have known in my life. Whatever capacity you knew Ron in, as a coach, teacher, or a friend, you were better off because of it. I regret very much that I will not be able to attend the services for him, as I will be in Chicago for a wedding, but I send my deepest condolences to everyone.
Ron has been a friend since elementary school. Like many of our class who played sports with Ron, we could always count on him to give all that he had every day, every play. Ronal was a friend, classmate as well as a great father, husband, son, brother, grandfather and many other roles he had during his life here. I offer my most heart-felt condolences to all that knew and loved Ron. Until we see each other at the Great Reunion in Heaven...Rest In Peace my friend. ron olds
Although I haven't seen Ron in years, I remember back in the old days when Burlington and Union City played many games against each other with his Dad and my Uncle Arnie coaching, it was great times. Like I said, I haven't seen him in years, but know we were great friends back growing up and know he will be missed, God speed, and Bless this family.
Alyson and Heidi used to call Ron "Uncle Brewer" when John worked at the hardware store and they were on the fire dept together. Your family holds a special place in our hearts and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
The John Leadley Family

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember Ron as a man of integrity, and a person who treated others with respect. I think that is among the best traits someone could hope to be remembered for. Prayers to the family.
Janie & Girls...What a valiant fight!! Janie & I were friends in HS, roommates at CMU & maids-of-honor in each other's weddings So 45 years of laughing with & at Ron wasn't long enough and absolutely too infrequent. Even though MSU won (& CMU lost) Ron will laugh at this one..."Roll Tide!" I will see you all on the 14th. LOVE...Jeanie Stevenson Scott

Coach you will be missed. Ill never forget you as my drivers ed teacher, my high school wood shop teacher and most of all my offensive line coach for varsity football. Goodbye coach
Coach Brewer looked out for me as a scrawny middle school student who wanted to lift weights among the older high school students. For the next six years he was a great mentor even while I played on the varsity football. He always looked out for me and others, as if they were his own children. Great Coach. Better Man. We'll miss you Brew.
I met you at the Hardware and worked with you at the High School for many years You always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. My prayers are with your family today.
Aunt Janie, Heid, and Kristin:
I was so sad to hear about Uncle Ron. I'll speak with you all soon, but I wanted to add to all these kind words and say how much he will be missed. While I didn't get a chance to see him very often, my memory is filled with his larger than life presence. I always looked forward to seeing Uncle Ron because you were guaranteed a good laugh (and something good from the grill). Love you all.
I worked with Ron through student activities with the KLAA. He impressed me the moment I meant him and I always looked forward to visiting with him at our monthly meetings. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
What a difference Ron made to all who knew him.
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
I am so sorry to hear of Rons passing. I am Katha Polzins cousin and I only met him a couple of times. I have heard so many great stories from Kate and Larry through the years. He will be missed by so many. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
God's blessing on Ron and his family! I will miss you my friend!
Sending my deep sympathy to Jane and family at the loss of her husband, Ron. May God Bless you with strength in this time of sadness. May your memories be sweet and full of comfort.
Rhona Gillespie McBride
Ron was my best friend. I loved to drive Coach to UM Hospital because I got to spend the entire day with him, one-on-one. He always bought me lunch on the way back and never at the same restaurant twice. My very best days with Ron were on his very worst days. He inspired me in so many different ways. He leaves behind his beloved wife, daughters and grand children and all of us who were proud to be his friend. In addition, he leaves behind a grateful school district and community. (Dear Lord - Ron's work is done. In your mercy, give him a safe lodging, and a holy rest, and peace at the last. Amen)
Janie & family,
My heart is broken and I am devastated at Rons' passing. I have so many memories that he left me of our times together over the years. Our State games, Bobcat games, going out to eat, bowling and watching our kids grow up. You both have been dear friends for more years than I can count. We will think of Ron often and miss him forever. I know he is in Heaven with Larry "Art" laughing and talking football, golf and all the good times they had together. If you need anything, please call me. I love you all! God Bless!
Jane and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you journey through this difficult time. Always loved sitting at a meal or festivity with you and Ron and enjoying his dry sense of humor. I can still hear Larry yelling...."Brewer!" As these two wonderful gentleman enjoyed one another's company. Love you, my friend.
Jane & family, I am so sorry for your loss. It's a very tough time going through losing your husband. But God give's us a strength that is far beyond our understanding to be able to take one step at a time with God holding our hand. We are so Blessed to have such a LOVING God. Now Ron is with HIM and no more pain, tears or grief for him. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers & I know you will be praying daily as well. May God Bless you Greatly with the wonderful memories of 43 years together. Sending you Love with the Love of the Lord, Vicki Henderson Easterwood, Desoto, MO.
Jane, I simply don't have words suitable for how I feel right now. We all loved Ron pure and simple.
We have lost a good man and a unique voice. Ron's sense of perspective and his great sense of humor always helped me see things a little more clearly and I have nothing but fond memories of working with him. Jane and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I pray that God Bless Ron and his family. Ron was a great man, great teacher, great coach and mentor. A character with character. I loved that man. I will never forget him.
Mr. Brewer was my woodshop teacher and football coach when I was part of the varsity football team. Being the only girl in both woodshop and football, Mr. Brewer always looked out for me. He was incredibly patient with me and easy to talk to. He made it very easy to learn. He is a wonderful person, and he will be missed.
Dear Brewer family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to know Mr. Brewer, he was my shop teacher in 11th & 12th grade at Grand Blanc High. Mr. Brewer will always be remembered, he was kind & always had a smile on his face. He was a friend in a time of need, he encouraged me to take his shop class after my grandparents just passing, that was something I shared with them, it was a struggle for me but he was their for support. Mr. Brewer was a great man & a good teacher, he will be missed. My heart goes out to the family in this time of need. May God Bless
