Caruis Johnson

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

CJ was always an inspiration to me. He was able to make me smile no matter what was going on at Pfizer. May God be with your family! I know God is with CJ! God Bless!

I had the pleasure of with Caruis at Pfizer in Houston. He was always easy going and fun to work with. He thought it was funny that I always called him Caruis instead of CJ. My prayers are with all of his family. Hugs from Houston.

Though we have not seen each other for a while, CJ left an indelible mark on his friends and coworkers in Houston. It is people like CJ that made Pfizer a great place to work. He was known to be faithful, caring, and character based which impacted many people. We will certainly miss his fellowship and know that God has wrapped him up with in his own heavenly mansion. God Bless the family during this loss.

Caruis and I worked together in Houston and he was always positive and upbeat. Caruis was supportive of others, enthusiastic about life and family and focused on making his life and the life of others better. Our prayers are with Caruis' family at this very trying time.

I met Caruis while working for Pfizer in Houston when we played a flag football game amongst some other Pfizer colleagues. He was a competitor, yet a gentleman and was a joy to be around; a kindred spirit, if you will. I recall that he left Pfizer for other pursuits and he was doing well being a life coach for others. That sounds like something that a person like Caruis was born to do because he was so giving in that way. When he looked at you, it seemed that he was trying to draw the best out of you, be in the field of casual athletic competition or during a conversation about something important to you. He was a listener, a motivator and a safe zone to express one's feelings; non-judgemental to a fault. I know that all who met him and whose lives he touched are better for their brief or extended encounters with him.

I pray for his wife, children and other family members who are experiencing the void that such a large, yet unostentatious personality like Caruis' leaves. I hope that they can focus on the love, guidance and comfort that he instilled within them and know that he continues to watch over them, even now. His love for them will never, ever die.

I am blessed to have known you, Caruis and I know that God's purpose for your life here on Earth was complete. Now, those of us who knew you must take those gifts you left with us and sow our own seeds to uplift others, just as you did.
