I have so many great memories of Mike as the older brother of my best friend, Wayne. He was as much a part of an ideal childhood as one could ask, representing the “cool, older guy”. Being a nerd of untold proportions, he always treated me decently and it felt good that he would even talk to me as he could have played the “Eddie Haskell” card, but never did. I could make him and Larry Lorenz laugh, and that seemed to be my ticket to “being cool” with them. I grew to admire Mike as I watched him and Darlene overcome odds and challenges that so many today have succumbed to and, on this very sad day of loss, I would like to let Darlene and the family know how much he was (and will remain) revered in my heart and memory.

My condolences to the Michael's family. Grospehends lived behind us on Genesse Street while the kids where growing up. My husband, Frank, taught at Hill McCloy.
