I y to see that a fellow tool designer that I worked with for many years at Buick has passed away. Luther was a very kind and gentle man and respected by all that worked with him. I have not seen him since we retired, but I shall always remember him as a fellow designer. My deepest sympathy to his family.

May God rest your soul,Mr. Pittman, you were a great mentor to me in the Tool Design Group when I spent time in your department at Buick when I was just a student. You should know, we respected you always as us young folks needed the guidance that you so patiently provided. Always a positive influence on everyone around you. Thanks for being a part of my career development. A genuine leader, thanks for being there for me.

Cousin Pitt is what my family called him. He was my mom's (deceased-Clara Fleming) cousin. He was such a kind, loving person with a gracious heart. He will definitely be missed and will always play an important part in my and my family's heart. My condolences to his family. God bless.

I WAS ONE OF LUTHER'S SUPERVISORS AT THE GM-BUICK'S EXPERIMENTAL ENGINEERING DIVISION FOR THE MODEL YEAR 1963 . WE MADE ADVANCED DESIGNED PROTOTYPE BUICKS AHEAD OF PRODUCTION. FIRST CAME THE "APPROVED" PROTOTYPES THEN CAME THE PRODUCTION UNITS. LUTHER WAS A SKILLED TRADES EXPERIMENTAL MACHINIST JOURNEYMAN. I KNEW LUTHER TO BE AN EXCEPTIONAL AND DEDICATED EMPLOYEE. I WAS PROUD TO HAVE KNOWN LUTHER. HE WAS A GOOD MAN.
