I had a brief aquaintance with Mr. Bader. My husband and I were talking about teachers who impacted our lives. We were visiting in Flint and drove by where Mr. Bader lived. He was cutting grass that day. My husband stopped the car and introduce me to him. I could tell he was proud of his experiences with his track and cross country coach. Few teachers today make this kind of impact on the young lives they encounter. I'm happy for the man that is my husband the coached helped develop.

Mr. Badar was a good man to have as a coach. He was a teacher of the sport and life to the young men that he had to coach. He taught all of us how to become better and to be responsible for our actions. Thank you to the family for letting us have him in our lives may God bless you and we will have you in our prayers.

Blessings and best wishes to the family of Norbert Badar. I graduated from Northern High School and I also remember him as being a very kind and friendly person to be around. It is nice to have fond memories of a teacher/coach from so long ago, they don't all stick in your mind like he did. 1968 graduate.

Coach Norb Badar was a kind and caring coach who brought out the best in his Flint Northern High Track & Field championship Athletes over the years... My Brother Dr. Calvin Williams 1960 graduate Flint Northern High went on to become a Mid American Champion in the 600 yard run in the early 60's at Western Michigan University later was recognized as an "Outstanding young Man in America". Mr. Badar helped me get my first "Real" Job working at Mott Camp in the 1950's I saved enough to pay my first year tuition at Eastern Michigan University and went on to Graduate and retire from Education in 2003. My oldest brother Carl Williams was a part of the CANUSA GAMES which Mr. Badar Coached. We all sustain the loss of a truly Great Human Being who despite the personal losses of his children who died during his coaching career. I don't know how he held up through those crises and still had the caring and kind consideration for many children whose lives he made a sustantial impact upon.
Thanks Coach Badar for your contribution to our family's lives and careers.
