I remember growing up and listening to Brother Mainer on the steps of his home. I remember playing some song of mine for him shortly after his 103rd birthday. He will be missed and he was dearly loved by everyone. Mr. Mainer, I know you can hear me up in Heaven. Say hello to all my family. I know you can't sit down cause you just got to Heaven and you want to look around..God Bless you and your family. Rest In Peace.

I wish I had of seen the obituary before now. I missed the chance to visit. I have listened to Wade for years via recordings. I saw him & his dear wife perform a few years back at the union hall on Van Slyke in Flint. Now he can sing to the Lord in His angel band.

I never had the honor to see Wade and Julia Mainer perform, but would have loved to. Wade Mainer was an inspiration to me in my banjo playing and his music will live on in his records and the people he influenced. My prayers go out to his family.

It was an honor for me to me family doctor for Wade and Julie many years ago. They were such a delight to be around. He gave me a few of his tapes which I still treasure.
I fondly remember the family as well and send my condolences as he will truly be missed. John W. MacKenzie MD.
