Anne Milo Obituary

Anne M. Milo

Plantation, FL

Milo, Anne M., 92, longtime resident of Plantation, passed peacefully on September 10, 2013, while surrounded by her loving family. Anne is a graduate of Yale University and New York University, where she obtained her two Master's Degrees in Nursing and Administration. While in NY, she met and married her loving husband George Milo. Together they moved to Florida in 1955 and their marriage produced two devoted children, Scott and Barbara. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, in Fort Lauderdale, and in 1957, she oversaw the opening of Holy Cross Hospital as Director of Nursing. Eventually Anne left her career to raise her two children, and never looked back. She was a faithful, and dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Anne will forever be missed. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Milo; son, Dr. Scott (Anne) Milo of Indian Harbour Beach; daughter, Barbara (Peter) Lenhard of Merritt Island; five grandchildren, Leena Milo, Preston Milo, Paul Lenhard, Logan Lenhard, and Colin Lenhard; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Friday, 9/13, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 9/14, 11:00AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church with entombment immediately following at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. Anne and her husband have been longtime contributors to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, where all of their grandchildren proudly attend. Arrangements entrusted to T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass/Weston, 371 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL 33325 (954) 587-6888

My life became richer the first day I met my dear Aunt Anne. She will always be my guiding light in life. Whenever I wonder what to do, all I have to think is; what would Aunt Anne say. I Love You Always.

When God asks Anne what she did on this Earth to make a difference she can hold her head high and say, I along with George gave a very loving home to a Son and Daughter. I left behind 5 wonderful grandchildren with parents who are passing the love on to them. I can know my family is safe and secure and say Job Well Done.

She will be missed
