I had the distinct honor and sincere pleasure to know Dorothy as she bravely met the challenges imposed on her during the winter season of her life. She always impressed by her delicate graciousness and kindness. After our first meeting, it quickly became apparent to me that Dorothy had achieved and experienced much during her 100 years of life on this Earth. She has now passed through Heaven's gate to rejoin her husband and all those she has loved who have gone before her. May "Dot" Rest in Peace and may the Good Lord bless the Sykes family as they prayerfully celebrate the accomplished and loving life of their beloved matriarch.

My condolence to the Sykes&Family. I would like to share with you a couple of Bible scriptures. Matt.5:4 "Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comfort." Even so, you may be feeling intense sadness and grief. Take comfort in knowing that men and women of faith in Bible times also experienced such feelings. Jesus Christ "gave way to tears" over the death of his friend Lazarus. Jon 11:35.
