I lit this candle to reflect the light that Bob gave to others and the light he brought out in others. Bob was always positive, helpful and witty. Rarely was he sick, or ever grumbled. He loved life and everything in it. The more people, the better! Regardless of where Bob is physically, he will always be with us as a part of this great, big universe he was so fascinated with exploring. I sincerely appreciate all the things Bob did for me, from hiring me for a job at KSC, helping me get NDIA certified in my field, and giving me "guy" advice. But, most of all, I appreciate how Bob believed in me, which helped me to believe in myself. That's Bob. My condolences will forever go out to Bob's family and friends. May God comfort your souls and may acceptance become easier with time.

Rest in peace my friend

I recently met Bob when I was a guest at his Rotary Club. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to his Rotary family. I light this candle for him as a fellow president if a Rotary club.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to Bob's family, friends and co-workers. This man, a true friend, mentor, leader, community champion, and excellent cook was absolutely selfless. He gave, and gave, and gave, in countless ways, never -ever- asking for returned favors. In just the four short years that I knew him, he volunteered an abundance of time and finances to Rotary International where he was currently the Merritt Island Breakfast Club's President. He volunteered his time to the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) where he was the Executive Board Vice Chairman of the Technical Information Division (TID). He also volunteered his time to Sculptor Charter School in Titusville, where he was currently Board Secretary. How did he come to be on the Board at a Charter School you might ask? His son, Chris attended the school years ago, but Bob stayed on the Board of Directors. I honestly believe Sculptor was his favorite volunteer activity, as Bob loved kids, they just brightened his life, especially seeing his niece, Amelia. He also volunteered at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High, Central Brevard Humane Society, and at KSC's annual picnics! When he wasn't working his rear off, running around with his head cut off at work, he was learning to dance or running all over Central Florida to help friends - or even friends of friends - in need of Air Conditioning repairs or vehicle repairs. None of these activities trumped his first passion - making memories with his son, Chris. I know he was VERY proud of the wonderful man Chris has become. He always talked excitedly when Chris was coming to visit from the Air Force and enjoyed their time together diving and sky diving. He was the epitome of “Service Above Self.” You are already greatly missed!! God rest your altruistic soul Bobbert, Cynthia and I look forward to amazing bonfires and cookies and milk in Heaven with you!
