Carolyn Bennett Hammond, age 70, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014. Mrs. Hammond was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Summers; granddaughter, Lacherisa Whisnant; and uncle, Buck Hulsey.
Survivors include her children, Tony (Cari) Bennett of Dahlonega, and Kelly Bennett of Birmingham; Aunt Doris (Uncle Palmour) Loggins of Dawsonville and Aunt Evelyn Hulsey of Fort Payne, Ala.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Spurr officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends at Ingram Funeral Home Saturday, August 30, from 4-9 p.m. and will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 31, from 2-9 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
